Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2025!

We will start off with “ten finger” Seekman….you know what I’m talking about! First up is his 1/48 Academy F-4J Phantom (“it was a piece of crap”…per Doug) It was painted with Gunze Mr. Color, Red Fox Studio 3D interior, True Details ejection seats, Bullseye Decals, Babibi 3-D printed remove before flight tags, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes. (Doug, I’m sorry the nose was cropped off…my bad)

Next is his 1/48 Academy SU-27 Flanker painted with Ammo by Mig Atom paint which is great but takes 18 hours to dry!  Hi-Decal decals, True Details ejection seat, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.  This kit came out in 1984.  As I said during the meeting, it sure is pretty!

The next two models are 1/72 which Doug built for Stan.  This is the Revell F-16A MLU which stands for mid life upgrade and was available to our European allies.  It was painted with Gunze Mr. Color, Pavla ejection seat, decals from the spares bag, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.  I know Stan is happy!

Mark Welch surprised us with something different…three 1/32 slot cars!  Starting at the top and working our way down, we have his Revell (yes, Revell!) Lola T-70 Roadster #7 driven by John Surtees (his favorite driver) won the CanAm Championship in 1966.
Next is his Cartrix Ferrari Super Squalo #4 driven in 1955 by Peter Collins for Scuderia Ferrarri.
And at number three, was have a 2004 Ferrari F1 #1 by Scalextric.
Boy, there cars are a far cry from my childhood Aurora HO scale cars!
Thanks, Mark…these are really cool!

This is the Academy A-37B Dragonfly as used in Vietnam.  The T-37 Tweety Bird was the trainer version of this plane.  He used Hataka Orange Line Lacquer paint, kit decals, and weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.  Doug said it was a nice kit and it sure turned out nice

Hope to see most of you at the Ridout on the 14th!!!
