Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2025!

Spencer Kosc has returned!  He showed us his beautiful 1/35 Hobby Boss SU-18 Soviet tank.  Only one was made…it was bad!  He used Tamiya paint, Vallejo mud, an ICM figure which he added a really cool cigarette and painted with Vallejo.  Sweet!

Doug Seekman’s first model is the 1/72 Hasegawa F15A which he painted with Gunze Mr Color, Pava resin ejection seat, decals from IsraDecal Studio, and weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.  He built this for Stan.

His fourth model is a 1/48 Gotha GO-244B  which was painted with Gunze Mr. Color, Eduard space interior, 3-D painted wooden crates and barrels which were printed by Stan Carrier, Mini-Art Jerry cans, kit decals, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels.  Fantastic job Doug and Stan!

That's all folks! Don't forget the luncheon on 8/19/

Stan Carrier has been very busy with this World of Tanks imagineered EV217 Badger.  The kit started out as an Amusing Hobby kit which was painted with Testors olive drab, no decals were included, pieced together from spares box.  The really cool part is the 3D printed barrel to replace with warped kit part.  Gret job, Stan!

President Burggren displayed his 1/24 Steve Kinser dirt track sprint car which he modified into a more generic car.  He built it pretty much from stock (if you can believe that) but added wing braces and bigger sides on the nose wing.  And, of course, he hand painted the numbers. He applied three coats of Krylon spray paint gloss black and true blue.  Decals were from his decal box.  Incredible work as usual!

Next is Doug’ s 1/48 Hasegawa J2M Raden “Jack” painted with Gunze Mr. Color, Eduard seat belts, Aeromaster Decals, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels.  The paint chipping was with a Prisma Color pencil.  So cool!

We will start with Mark Jahsan’s Jasmine Models F6F-5 Hellcat which had 264 PE parts, 119 plastic parts, plus parts from his spares box.  He also included Eduard cockpit stuff.  This model took first place in the aircraft category at the Ridout Challenge!  Way to go, Mark!

Also for Stan is this 1/72 Hasegawa F16A painted with Hataka Orange Line lacquer, IsraDecal decals, Pavla resin ejection seat, and weathered with Ammo by Mig.
