This is his FW-190D-9 and has the Eduard Brassin 3-D printed seat and Aeromaster decals. He said it wasn’t a bad kit but the ammo covers on the wings didn’t fit…no problem for Doug!
Destroyers are some of the smallest ships in the Navy…but Mark Jahsan didn’t get the memo! Look at this 1/72nd USS Ward monster! Over 50% of the stuff on the deck he scratchbuilt including the four PVC stacks. Mark brought this brute in before, but it is a Combat Vacuform kit and he also used some Distefano 3D printed parts.
And in the same photo we have the Finemolds Japanese mini sub which the Ward sank off Pearl Harbor. Amazing work, Mark
That's it! See ya at the October WS!
Doorknob Miller brought in this beautiful 1/35th Tamiya Jeep and trailer. The interior is from Quinta 3-D. Once in a while, a photo turns out great which fortuitous because look at the details in this model! Tom, this really is a fantastic job! Wow! These photos can turn out amazing if he keeps his hand out the photo! 😊 The trailer is also Tamiya and is from his spares box.
Mr. Doug Seekman brought in three models but one of them crash landed and will need to be repaired and then try to re-land at the November S&T! The two 1/48th aircraft models that survived the trip are both by Eduard, painted with Gunze Mr. Color, Qunita Studio 3-D printed interior, and weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels. We start with his beautiful Bf-109G-6 and he used Eagle Strike decals and an Ultra Cast resin seat to make this puppy pop! He said this was the Bf-109 kit of choice.
That's all folks! See ya at the October WS!
Speaking of big, Mark Welch brought in his latest 1/16 tank project. It is the Heng Long Tiger I (early). It has 7.0 electronics (which I assume is better that 6.0 electronics!) It has 360 degree turret, hull and barrel recoil, complete metal upgrade running gear, steel gearbox. Will become 503rd SPA, turret 114, Kursk, Panzerkommander Alfred Rubbel. Kit cost was $292.95. It will painted in the German dark yellow. It weighs in at 22 lbs and he has more metal goodies to add! Cool, Mark!
