Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2025!

This was the Revell Mig 21F-13 painted with Gunze, kit decals, and weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.

That is it for the September S&T!  See you guys at the "Work" Session!

We will start with the legend, Doug Seekman.  This is the first of his six 1/72 aircraft models he built for Stan.  It is Hasegawa KFIR C2 painted with Gunze Mr Color, ISRA Decal decals, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.

Next up is his Academy F-15I Strike Eagle painted with Hataka Lacquer, ISRA Decal decals, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.

And number six is the Hobbycraft F2H Banshee painted with Gunze Mr. color and kit decals.  No weathering required!

Doug: ya dun good!  Real good!

Number 4 is the Academy F3F-2 painted with Tamiya, Hataka, Model Master, and Gunze.  He also used a Ultracast seat, kit decals,  and weathered with Ammo by Mig washes and pastels.

Skill level 1.55 built this 1/87 wood structure from scratch to enter in the small category at this year’s Ridout Challenge.  It took First Place…I mean it was the first loser!  Mark Jahasn took First!
It was drawn with 2D drawing software and cut out of basswood with a Cricut.  Little details were added and some subtle weathering.  It was named in honor…or was it to embarrass, our very own Dale Yonkers!

Speaking of the contest “dominator”, Mark Jahsan presented these two beautiful aircraft.  The one on the left is the Nakajima Ki-44 based in China, and the model on the right is the Kawanishi NIKI-J based in the Philippines. This guy does good work!

Our last model of the day was built by Mr. Tom Miller!  He may be last today but he is first in the hearts of millions!  At least that is what he tells me!  😉
This beauty is his 1/35 WW2 field kitchen constructed from the Italeri/ICM kit(s).  The cargo is from the kit and it appears our boys will be eating great tonight!  Tom Scratchbuilt the tarp from epoxy and did a great job.  He used Ammo acrylic paint, and the decals were from the kit.  This guy has olive drab running through his veins!

This is the Kinetic F-16I again painted with Hataka Lacquer, ISRA Decal decals, Pavla ejection seats, weathered with Ammo by Mig washes.
