Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2025!

That master of the 3T’s, Doug Seekman, brought in a PE cutting tool from Xuron that gets into those tight spaces….and will leave a deep puncture wound you won’t forget….the scar won’t let you!  Doug even spotted some dried blood on his!

We will start with the biggest tool in room, our illustrious President, Mr. Burggren!  He is world famous for the treads he adds to his racecar tires and today he showed us the handmade tool he uses to do it.  It is a real work of art and craftsmanship….just what you would expect for JR!  Way cool!

That is it for the tools.  We did vote and elected JR our "Favorite Tool of 2026"!  See ya in two weeks!

Stan, the hole in the donut, Carrier, showed off a simple device for unscrewing stuck on lids!  Got to get me one of those.  His second  tool was another silicone item used to mix paint.  He only uses acrylic paint, and I guess the paint releases easily.  Cool!

Chuck Gaunt brought in two tools today and one really caught our attention.  It is the Mavy Jewel Picker.  He purchased his several years ago at Hobby Lobby and it is still going strong.  They are also available on Amazon. I have purchased the waxy type that look like Q tips and they suck.  Chuck’s leaves no residue.  His other tool is what we all call the nose picker.  We used it on Ralya and cleared out his sinuses immediately!

Skill level 1.55 didn’t take a photo but the tool he brought in today was his 20+ year old digital caliper.  It is heavily used when working with basswood cut on the Cricut machine.
