Per Doug, another nice kit…the Hasegawa FW-190A-4.  He also used the Eduard Space 3-D interior, decals from Eagle Strike, and Ultracast seat. I’m telling you, this guy is getting the handle on building models!

Our prolific and prodigious master modeler, Doug Seekman, brought in his usual quota of three models.  All are 1/48, all painted with Gunze Mr Color lacquer and Ammo by Mig washes and pastels. This is his favorite Bf-109G-14/A5 from the Eduard kit.  He used Eduard Space 3-D interior, ultra cast seat, and kit decals.  He says he’s built 6-8 of these.  Jeez, having built that many, he was bound to get one right eventually!  Ha Ha Ha!!!

Obviously, Spencer Kosc has been of control…look at all these models!  The tanks are 1/100 from Flames of War.  First up are his T-34-85/87 built OOB, used Tamiya paint (everything was!), oil weathering.  Vehicles share common hulls but turrets are from early and late war versions.

And now we finally arrive at our President!  This is his 1/25 Dirt Late Model from Model Car Videos(?) resin 3-D printed kit with 28 parts.  He cleaned up the parts, painted and assembled.  Had fit issues with body to chassis and hood to nose.  It turned out great but I don’t think the kit was up to JR’s expectations.
Painting: frame-Testors dark blue, body- Tamiya racing white, interior-Testors gloss orange.
Decals: from his spares box.  I’m sure he appreciated the challenge of a new medium.  Great job, JR.

Next are his Panzer IV's also built OOB , oil weathering.  As you can see, he modified the skirt panels.

It was a  great turnout and meeting and a fun time. See you at the WS!

And this ain’t no tank!  It’s Spencer’s 1/72 Frog Fiat G.55 built OOB except for the antenna (EZ Line) and the i.d. plate (from styrene).  Amazing job, Spencer!!

Grandpa Jody Dunning  brought in his 1/350 scale airplanes…..oops….Spencer says they are 1/18!  These are “toys” and not kits. The one in the background is the F-16 by Blue Box and in front we have the F-104 Starfighter by 21st Century Toys.  Can you see Jody playing with his toy planes!!!  😉

Home of the modeling savants....Celebrating forty years of modeling fun, education, and history in 2025!

We will start with Chuck Gaunt as he rarely brings in a model and this one is spectacular.  This is the 1/24 Revell Porsche diesel Junior 108 farm tractor. I didn’t know Porsche made tractors after the war…I know Lamborghini did.  They started making tractors in 1952 and it was powered by an 822 cc 14 HP engine from a 911.  I’m kidding! They sold 125,000 of these things at a price of  $1,750.  Chuck used Tamiya paint.  Boy, he did a great job on this!!

It’s Mark Jahsan’s turn.  Two beautiful car models.  The blue one is a 1/25 AMT 1967 Mustang Fastback.  He says his first car never looked this good!  He built this OOB, used Rust -Oleum cobalt blue on the exterior and a two-tone interior of later intermediate and dark sea blue.
The other one (red in case you missed it!), is the 1/24 Revell/Monogram 1965 Mustang Fastback which is also his real-life project which he is hoping to complete next year.Exterior is Granet Red and the interior is the correct parchment.  Beautiful models, Mark

His third tank are his Panthers also built OOB with oil washing except lead vehicle i.d. plate from styrene and stretched sprue.  Awesome job of weathering all!!

This beauty is his Revell/Monogram ME-410B-2/U2/R4 (is that enough #’s and letters for you?).  He used Quintas 3-D printed seatbelts, Eduard PE interior, and decals from Aeromaster.  Anybody else getting sick and tired of his perfection???  Me either!
